Millennium bcp Fortis

The Millennium bcp Fortis joint venture was launched in January 2005 and is the market leader in life insurance in Portugal. In non-life, Millennium bcp Fortis has a market share of over 30% through its bancassurance channels, where it also enjoys the leading position in medical insurance.

Millennium bcp Fortis holds 100% control of the capital of the following companies dedicated to bancassurance:

  • Ocidental - Companhia Portuguesa de Seguros de Vida, S. A.;
  • Ocidental - Companhia Portuguesa de Seguros, S. A.;
  • Pensõesgere - Sociedade Gestora de Fundos de Pensões, S. A.;
  • Companhia Portuguesa de Seguros de Saúde, S. A. - Médis.

The Fortis Group owns 51% of the capital and the controlling share of Millennium bcp Fortis.
