Conditions

For Businesses:

  • Be a limited liability company registered in Portugal
  • Have all shares held by individuals
  • Register the Company’s Beneficial Owners on the "Central Register of Beneficial Owners" portal
  • Have only one Authorized User as the Legal Representative*
  • Require only the Auhtorized User’s signature for binding agreements*

For Managers:

  • Be of legal age
  • Have a primary residence in Portugal

The Company, as the Customer and account holder, and the Authorized User with transaction powers.
During the online account opening process, we will verify the information of the authorized parties with the Bank of Portugal’s Credit Responsibility Center.

  • Digital Mobile Key (CMD) linked to the Citizen Card, with a Portuguese address, a Portuguese phone number, and an active digital signature

The CMD (Digital Mobile Key) is a certified authentication and digital signature method by the Portuguese State. It allows users to access various public and private portals and sign digital documents with a single login. The CMD links a mobile phone number to the civil identification number for Portuguese citizens, or to the passport or residence card number for foreign citizens.

Yes, it is required for authenticating and collecting the Authorized User’s personal data, as well as for electronically signing documents. If you don’t have it, activate it now via the autenticação.gov app.

The account will be opened only after Millennium bcp validates and confirms all the data.

Features

Yes, at Millennium bcp, your security is our priority. Opening an account online with the Digital Mobile Key allows you to authenticate and digitally sign documents easily and efficiently. It is a highly certified method that ensures the protection of your personal and business data.

The "Millennium Corporate Account" is a current account for Business Customers, with a monthly fee of €7.50 (plus Stamp Duty). Please refer to the Standard Information Sheet for more details.

Opening an account online takes about 15 minutes. After that, we will contact you during our service hours.

During the online account opening process, you will have access to a specialized team to assist you and answer any questions. Simply click on the "Questions? Call us" option.

Contact Center hours:

  • Weekdays: 8 AM to 10 PM
  • Weekends and holidays: 10 AM to 6 PM

Outside of these hours, you can submit a contact request.

Yes, you can subscribe to the M Empresa or M Empresa Premium solution, which offers an integrated set of banking products and services tailored to your company’s daily needs, for a fixed monthly fee, more affordable than purchasing the services individually.

During registration, you will have access to all information about the account, as well as all associated products and services.

Once the account is opened and validated by us, we will send you the account information by email, along with the "Contractual Pack," signed by you and Millennium.

Yes, you can resume later. We will save the details you entered for 45 days.

Click on "Resume account opening" to continue the process.

If the online account opening process is not completed, all the personal data you entered will be deleted after 45 days. In some cases, it may be necessary to keep some of your personal data to comply with legal or tax deadlines, or the requirements under anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws.

Activation and support

Once you complete the account opening process, you will receive the IBAN. The account details will only be valid after you receive the confirmation email from us.

To activate the account, an initial transfer is required from:

  • a bank account held by the Company, or
  • a bank account(s) held by the Company's shareholder(s)

with an amount equal to or greater than €500.00. Cash deposits or value deposits are not accepted for this purpose.

Yes. During the online process, you will be asked to select the branch where you want the account to be linked.
