Yes, you can get the quote without the license plate by manually entering the details of your vehicle. However, you will need to provide the license plate to complete the insurance subscription.
The primary driver is the person who drives the vehicle regularly and uses it more frequently than any other driver, if there are any.
The market value is the price of the vehicle in the market. In insurance, vehicles are typically assessed based on the market price, which is determined using the Eurotax valuation table.
Collision coverage protects your vehicle from damage, even if the driver is at fault in the accident.
Yes, you can subscribe to the insurance even if the policyholder is not the vehicle's primary driver.
Yes, you can cover the value of your car’s extras, as long as they don’t exceed 10% of its market value. However, extras cannot be covered if the insurance is for a motorcycle.
In the Mini option, coverage for vehicle occupants is optional. In the Extra and Top options, it is included, with 3 deductible levels available depending on the vehicle's value. This coverage is not available for motorcycles.
The policy number is generated as soon as you complete the insurance subscription. You’ll immediately receive a temporary circulation certificate, starting on the chosen date. The insurance certificate, along with the other policy documents, will be sent to you by email.
To get a quote and subscribe, just provide the vehicle's license plate number, your driver's license issue date, and the coverage options you select. If you're not the primary driver, you'll also need to provide the driver's details (name, taxpayer number, address, date of birth, ID number, gender, age, and the year they obtained the driver's license).
To subscribe to Móbis insurance, the policyholder must meet the following requirements:
- Have a Portuguese tax address registered with Millennium;
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Have at least one current account at Millennium;
- Have a Portuguese taxpayer number (NIF);
- Have an up-to-date email address registered at Millennium.
No, we need your email to subscribe to Móbis. You can update it in the Profile section of the Millennium App.
If you choose the collision coverage during the subscription, you’ll need to provide the value of any equipment not included as standard from the factory, along with the vehicle’s value.
Some equipment may not be considered part of the base vehicle when purchased, as it might have been added by the importer or dealership. In such cases, you should check the value, brand, and model of these extras to include them in your insurance. Extras refer to any components added to the vehicle that weren't part of the manufacturer’s standard version.
Whenever you choose the collision coverage, an inspection is required to assess your vehicle’s current condition. The inspection can be conducted online, at a Millennium branch, or at a recommended repair shop, and there is no additional cost.
Through the app, you can choose from three inspection options: online, at a Millennium branch, or at a recommended repair shop.
You’ll receive a response within 24 hours after submitting the inspection. If submitted over the weekend, the maximum response time is 72 hours.
The timing of contact depends on your insurance start date. If your insurance starts the same day or within 5 days, you'll be contacted the same day you subscribe. If you select a later start date, contact will be made 5 days before the chosen start date.
Once you’ve subscribed, you’ll be contacted by Ocidental. To complete the inspection, just have your phone ready, follow the steps provided, and take pictures of your car from different angles. You’ll also need the Vehicle Registration Document or Proof of Ownership/Sale. After you submit the photos and documents, they’ll be reviewed, and you’ll receive a follow-up contact once everything is done.
Millennium is authorized to inspect your vehicle at no cost, without the need for an appointment or prior notice. Simply visit a branch.
At a "Recommended Repair Shop," simply choose the nearest available shop to schedule your inspection, all through the app and at no cost.
No, if the vehicle was purchased from a dealership within the last 30 days prior to the insurance start date, you only need to submit the purchase document.
No, an inspection is not required for motorcycles.
To view the available coverage in detail, select the option that best suits your vehicle (Mini, Extra, or Top for cars, and Extra for motorcycles) and explore the coverage options.
All documents will be sent to the email address registered in the Profile section of the Millennium App.

- If the accident falls under the Direct Compensation System (IDS), you should send us the Accident Statement Form;
- If your policy includes coverage for your own damage, you can get your vehicle repaired immediately, and we will contact the responsible insurer;
- If there is no agreement after the third-party claim, you can activate the legal protection coverage, and we will help you resolve the issue.

If accepted, this extension will come at an additional cost.
Bonus is a percentage reduction in the value of certain coverages in the following year’s premium if no claims have been made during a specified period.
Malus is a percentage increase in the value of certain coverages if a claim in the previous year resulted in a compensation payment or the establishment of a provision. The Bonus or Malus system only applies to claims that led to a compensation payment or provision, and in the latter case, it applies as long as the insurer has accepted responsibility.
