Frequently asked questions about the Millennium App
Using the app
To install and use the app on your smartphone or tablet, follow these steps:
- Access the App Store, Google Play Store, or App Gallery on your smartphone or tablet;
- Search for "Millennium bcp" and install the app, free of charge;
- Open the app and select the option: "I am already a Customer, I want to use the app";
- Next, choose how you want to register: with Digital Mobile Key or with User Code and Multichannel;
- If you don't have the Digital Mobile Key yet, tap on: "Don't have one? Activate it here" and follow the instructions;
- If you choose to register with the User and Multichannel Code, but don't remember one or both, tap on: "No access codes yet? Get them here" and follow the instructions.
With the Digital Mobile Key:
- Follow the instructions from AMA;
- Then, when you come back to the Millennium App, set the access PIN to the app (4 numbers);
- Choose if you want to activate biometrics to enter the app and/or authorize operations;
- Choose if you want to receive notifications;
- Enter the code you received by SMS and you're done.
With User Code and Multichannel:
- Set the access PIN to the app (4 numbers);
- Then, enter the User Code and the 3 random positions requested from your Multichannel Code;
- Choose if you want to activate biometrics to enter the app and/or authorize operations;
- Choose if you want to receive notifications;
- Enter the code you received by SMS and you're done.
To set a new PIN and recover access to the app, you need to register again:
- On the app's home screen, tap on: "No access codes yet? Get them here"
- Then, tap on: "PIN code to access the app" and then on "Set new PIN"
- Choose the option "I'm already a customer, I want to use the app"
Next, you will start a new registration in the Millennium App. Choose how you want to register "With Digital Mobile Key" or "With User Code and Multichannel Code".
With Digital Mobile Key, follow these steps:
- Follow the instructions from AMA;
- When you return to the Millennium App, set the access PIN for the app (4-digit);
- You can activate biometrics to log in to the app and/or authorize transactions;
- Choose if you want to receive notifications;
- Enter the code you received by SMS and you're done.
With User Code and Multichannel Code, follow these steps:
- Set the access PIN for the app (4-digit);
- Then, enter the User Code and the 3 random positions requested from your Multichannel Code;
- You can activate biometrics to log in to the app and/or authorize transactions;
- Choose if you want to receive notifications;
- Enter the code you received by SMS and you're done.
Contact us on 21 005 24 24 (national landline network) to request the blockage of the User Code used in the Millennium App.
This action won’t block your access to the website.
Go to your transactions, pick the specific one you need a proof for, tap on the three dots and choose the option "Share or save proof". Then, select how you want to send it. You can send it via email, WhatsApp or another app, or even save it to your phone.
To use the app, you just need to have a smartphone/tablet compatible with the application and register in the app.
Using the Millennium App itself is free of charge. However, please note that specific transactions may incur costs as per the current pricing list.
The Millennium App works with Internet access, whether in Portugal or abroad. The app works internationally based on your SIM card's services and your operator's roaming agreements.
The current version is available for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android operating systems.
iOS: requires iOS 15.6 or higher
Android: requires Android 7.0 or higher
Yes. You just need to install the Millennium App on the extra device, follow the installation steps and a new user will be generated automatically.
You can repeat this process on as many devices as you'd like to access the app.
Similar to our website, the Millennium App maintains a high level of security. Keep these security measures in mind:
- 4-digit access PIN to the app;
- One-time SMS code to verify app installation on your device;
- All transactions are confirmed by entering 3 random positions of the Multichannel Code.
You can manage your direct debits in the Millennium App. Just tap on "Pay" and then choose the last card option labeled "Manage Direct Debits".
You can also view your monthly debit history, so you have full control over your spending.
Yes. When making a payment, select the "SMS" option, then enter the code from the message in the app to confirm the transaction.
Go to "Security" within the app, then choose between facial recognition or fingerprint recognition based on your preference. This feature allows you to log in and authorize operations seamlessly and securely.
Privacy mode hides your account balances, allowing you to review info, products, or transactions without nearby onlookers knowing.
To turn it on, use the "Privacy Mode" switch before logging in. After logging in, your balances stay hidden. For a quick peek, select "Check Balance." The balance hides again after a few seconds.
Yes. You can control your credit card preferences, such as:
- Change the payment day and percentage;
- Change the credit limit;
- Enable and disable transactions online, abroad and contactless payments;
- Set the card you want to use for your purchases and MB WAY transfers;
- Block or cancel the card.
